Excited for your big vacation but
don't know who is going to care for your dog or cat while you're gone?
No need to worry, we are happy to watch your pet while you are away. We
offer quality boarding services and take good care of your pet. It is
always a good idea to plan ahead, as we book up quickly during holiday
Your pet is provided with an ample living space, but they are not cooped up for all of their time here. We walk your dog 3 times a day so they get the exercise they need. They also get a lot of playtime to take their mind off of being away from home. All animals are fed twice a day and provided with comfortable bedding to sleep on. If your pet has a favorite toy, pillow, or other plaything bring it along for them. We want your dog or cat to be as comfortable as possible.
We love to have fun, but we do have a few rules. We require that your has been examined by one of our doctors within the last 12 months. If this is not the case, we can do that prior to admission or after your pet is dropped off for boarding (we want to insure your pet is healthy and has no issues PRIOR to the stay so that we can address and treat those DURING the stay).
We also require that your pet is up to date on their vaccinations for the safety of the other animals here. Call us if you have any questions about the required vaccinations (Dogs: DHPP, Rabies, Bordetella and Cats: FVRCP and Rabies). Since Canine Influenza has been reported in San Diego County, we also require the vaccination to protect your dog and the other boarding dogs from Canine Influenza. This disease is very contagious and very serious. We also require that you drop off and pick up your pet during regular business hours.
In addition, all pets need to be free of parasites. If we find fleas or ticks, we will treat your pet while they are here with us as we have very safe and effective medications for that. Also all dogs need to have a negative stool sample result within the previous 6 months to insure the safety of all the doggies that board as the dogs are walked in our patio area and we would not want to have an infected dog transmitting intestinal parasites to the other dogs that walk in that area.
If you know you will be boarding your pet, it is always a good idea to get the required vaccinations and stool sample checked BEFORE your pet is admitted to the boarding facility. But don't worry. If your furry friend is not up to date, we would be happy to make sure your pet is in compliance by doing what is required after being admitted for the boarding stay. You may also want to schedule a bath on the day you are picking up your pet.
AND don't forget about your pet's teeth. If you would like to schedule the annual dental prophy during the boarding stay, please speak to one of our doctors. As long as we are able to reach you during your trip, we would be glad to accomodate this request.
We look forward to spending time with your pet!
